Scribus Primer Zine (Free and Open Graphic Design)

This is a printable and foldable one quarter letter sized sheet (8.5x11 inch) zine.
A basic primer on the free and open source software Scribus used for graphic design/page layout.
Making a small zine in Scribus is like building a sandcastle with a bulldozer. Scribus can design multi page docs, large format objects such as posters, oversize graphics, and whole books.
The power of Scribus lies in the open nature of the development and distribution. Unlike proprietary and commercial design apps, Scribus is developed by a dispersed community and distributed openly and free of charge.

Install instructions
Download the PDF and print to 1 US letter sized sheet of paper (8.5x11 Inches).
choose double sided printing and set to "Flip on Long Edge".
How to fold:
1.Hold the sheet to so you see the inner pages. You should see the heading "Creating New Documents Continued" in the upper left corner of the page.
2.Fold the bottom half of the page in horizontally over the top half.
3. When folded as described above you should see the cover page with the zine title "A Scribus Primer" upside down.
4. Now turn the paper around 180 degrees so that the cover page is on the right.
5. Flip the zine over to see the interior pages with the upper left page displaying the instructions "Where to download Scribus: scribus.net"
6. Now fold the page again so that the cover page faces outwards and the main binding fold is on the left.
